因為不明白為什麼一些農民運動的 ngo會轉呔支持保皇路線的 pad，以電郵問了作者，但似乎沒有解釋。。。

however, i have some questions: when you said that some former ngos which stressed rural development has become supporter of PAD. What makes them shift their stand?
i remember after the 98 financial crisis, organization like assembly of the poor demanded more reforms against neo-liberal policy, have they become support of PAD now?

Hi,
The Assembly of the Poor has maintained a principled position and never supported the PAD or the government. But many NGO activists felt sympathetic to Pipop Thongchai, they had turned against Thaksin and seemed incapable of an independent political analysis. This is the result of years of rejecting political theory. They justified continued protests against Thaksin by incorrectly believing that the poor were "trapped" in a patron-client system and therefore made no free choices in elections. They reluctantly welcomed the coup, they supported the military constitution and put themselves forward to be appointed senators. Things when from bad to worse. But there are those NGO people who have remained principled too.

真係唔識背景，依家清楚好多。

Khmer 不是廟

上文譯到︰「……願意為了 Khmer 這座寺廟發動戰爭……」這句有翻譯錯誤。

如果我無弄錯，Khmer 不是一座廟，而是指「高綿王國」，也就是古代的柬埔寨。高綿建立的廟宇眾多，其中最著名的是吳哥窟 (Angkor Wat)。另外最多港人去的，應該是吳哥城 (Angkor Thom)。高綿與暹羅（古泰國）的關係不甚和睦，常有戰爭（今日吳哥城所在地「暹粒 Siem Reap」意思就是「擊敗暹羅」），高綿王國最強大時，國境遍及的今日泰國境內，所以有部份吳哥遺跡位於泰國。

最近引起泰柬爭議的廟宇，應該叫做柏威夏寺 (Preah Vihear，泰稱 Phra Viharn)。該寺位於兩國邊境，上世紀亦曾經引起兩國爭執，直至國際法院在 1962 年，判決柏威寺屬於柬埔寨所有為止。
