我個人認為小於10個的極少量〝手工制品〞,版權在〝利得〞上應刮免,但無廣告(開放)性權利。
規管場地者的二創推廣與責任,主動與原創者“聯絡”“謙相”“交代”二創內容“許可”(加量)與承擔一切後加規限法律責任。
政府作規管場地者,高價引入外地管理專材策劃。

Copyrights and importance of respect

On intellectual copyright, I have been to a more law base talk. That speaker, who is a copyright lawyer, was against a strict implementation of intellectual property law.

Fair use of created work will help to spark more creative work. Fair use of books and intellectual materials would help to advance our collective intelligence. And should be allowed, according to his thinking.

But there is always a catch. Respect.

Fair use.

Respect of intellectual work meant giving credit for the original work.

If you write the lyric of a song composed by another person, it is only write to say this song is composed by the other person, not you.

Also, the owner of copyright could define what is fair use. For a creation that is popular but have high monetary value, it is only right for this owner to oppose other people from copying the design.

For example, even if you are going to create a piece of "art", you would not copy LV logo (trademark) as part of your "design", as you know that trademark is copyrighted.

Now, if you pay that much "respect" (or just afraid of being sued), shouldn't one give the same amount of respect for not so rich copyright owner?

It is only right to contact the owner and ask for permission.

Of course, there are rule and guideline for fair use. But that is just common sense.

Also, check for expiration for copyrights. One of the reasons that BBC made a lot of classics is that during that period, a lot of popular classic works have expired their copyrights.

Just want to add I support limited protection of intellectual property.

As for copyright law, when it comes to pharmaceutical products that could save lives, I support the government to intervene and disallow monopoly of drugs. Which is a whole different issue all together.

Plus, the misuse of copyrights by 1st world companies in 3rd world countries. More on that when the topic comes up.

張副署長說官樣文章, 企硬「版權法向商界靠攏」既立場就一早預咗架la !!!! 我當晚一聽到佢講powerpoint果d嘢, 我當堂忍唔住笑......佢唔係真係見係學生會主辦既, 就當果晚係去學校講"talk", 佢真係當正我地係小學生.

佢 "企硬「版權法向商界靠攏」的立場" 都算la !!!! 我最不滿佢一味响度遊花園. 有台下聽眾問佢d好practical既問題, 但我都唔覺佢有答到人. 佢有講過話"再創作"嚴格地講係"原創者"同"再創者"既共同作品, 又話好似張紙咁呢截係前人果截就係二次創作人. 咁人地問佢咁站响版權法上點界定邊一截係屬於原創人, 邊一截係屬於"二創人".......佢既答案係"lur"過就算. 佢唔記得d法律條文, 或者太複雜唔知點答既, 咪認咗佢囉, 再衰d既咪至多叫人問下d熟識版權法既律師 !!!! 駛唔駛遊花園遊得咁難睇!!!
