Yeap, no one would be naive enough to believe signatures can change the decision of the PLA. Just like I don't think signatures can change the decision on Queen's pier. Yet, we still should voice what we believe is right.

Why would I scare of PLA? I am not even living in HK. I am just making comments on what is right and what is wrong. I am a disinterested third eye making (my) judgments on HK current affairs as a mental hobby

I won't go thru the trouble to start a campaign against the PLA pier, just like I won't go thru the trouble writing proposals to move the Queen's pier to the new shoreline. That's none of my business, actually those issues are so remote to me that they only serve my intellectual curiosity.

I just staying my position on what I believe is right. What is right in this case doesn't affect me financially or emotionally, so I am only willing to spend some effortless time to writing articles to voice my opinion and spend nothing more.

Discussing these issues and analyzing the position of both parties is fun. However, the issues itself is unimportant to me in reality yet important to me rationally like topics on "does man has freewill?", "Is capitalism or Marxism brings more justice to the society?", "what is the theological basis of baby baptism?" Say, if my company suddenly has to work on a big project and I have to put in lots of OT, you will see me disappear like a puff.

P.S. I do support people here in Inmedia voicing their concerts and fighting for whatever they think is right. This is a step moving towards mature civil society. Just I can't agree with their arguments or the conclusion, but I do admire their efforts.

I don't care if 獨媒夠薑反對在中環起解放軍碼頭, but don't think signature can scare off 解放軍. R u abit too naive?

You 反對在中環起解放軍碼頭, simple thing like, display a banner of your message is strong and effective. Why are you asking other to do it for you? Are u too scared to stand out? Why 反對解放軍碼頭, if u r so scared? It is being planned for people like you.

I don't care if 獨媒夠薑反對在中環起解放軍碼頭, but I know our society don't need them, and the society don't want to pay for them.
What is your reason to opposit them? To me, you don't sound like someone who care how other people live as much as I have read your materials.

hidden agenda

依家政府的策略係逐樣逐樣嚟, 佢不斷同人講海旁空間的設計未定案, 定的只有 P2 路, 所以要先拆天星皇后再填海. 但屬知內情的, 都知道背後有一大堆 hidden agenda, 包括摩地, 地下商場, 及解放軍碼頭. 保下皇后的話, 原有的 planning 都可以重新再談, 因為 p2 路要改道, 地鐵若要興建的話, 亦要改道, 到時很可能就沒有足夠空間興建軍事碼頭了.

解放軍碼頭

拆皇后碼頭填海﹐起新海濱公園起商廈不是問題﹐那是發展市中心的必要步代。但在市區中心起軍營就很有問題了。那有國家會蠢到用市區中最昂貴的地皮去起軍營﹖ 如果獨媒夠薑反對在中環起解放軍碼頭﹐我第一個簽名支持。

大慨全香港上至下所有階層(包括大地產商)也不會贊成在中環起軍營﹐只是對著解放軍對著斧頭幫﹐大家都只是敢怒而不敢言。

獨媒也只是敢打蒼蠅不敢打老虎﹐對沒有還手之力的摩地大廈就叫得這樣響亮﹐對著解放軍軍營就聲也不敢吭。

最簡單的解決辨法﹐把軍營搬去新界﹐在軍營舊址起摩地﹐不就可以商業與保育並存嗎﹖
