我咁睇

如果果科係第一年開，或者個講師係第一年教，咁由教授或講師親身落場tutorial好應該，因為教授同講師本身，都要評估一下學生的反應，同埋與學生交下手，擦出一些火花。

但作為研究生的tutor，係有責任答學生問題，因為讀緊果科，唔只個學生，tutor都係。

你講既tutor已經算好...........起碼唔識教唔會浪費你時間................
事無不可對人言...............浸大數學系既tutor衰到要由個教授親自落來上tutorial..............
學校department做野就淨係識找碴............
你要求永不達到............每日返hea工...........

是那間大學就不公開了，因為不想變成「翻舊帳」，只是想各大學的有關單位知道有這樣在事情。

投訴方面，與友人相議已久，但一直因雜務繁忙而未有進行。看來要到八月尾才可空閒一點。

建議

-建議你公開那家大學的名字;
-不知你有沒有向大學有關部門投訴？建議你一試．

My opinions

Case (1): I suspect that (s)he must be a very hard worker student. Anyway, (s)he was irresponsible, and (s)he shouldn't be paid at all!!! (For (s)he hasn't done anything.)

Case (2): I think that maybe we can't blame him/her, as it is possible that (s)he has only prepared that part and (s)he doesn't know the previous section at all. Tutors (MPhil /PhD students) don't know ALL the things in the subject. Esp. for Science subjects, there are a lot of GOOD STUDENTS who are very weak in communication and basically speaking. If they don't prepare well in advance, it is possible that even if they know the subject, the theme well, they can't explain it properly, like we normal human beings do. Most engineers, mathematicians, etc. are like that, nearly illiterate, as their language is only Maths.

Case of employees: It depends on when the contract was signed. The situation has changed a bit now. No permanent employees anymore, but for old staff, what can the school do if (s)he doesn't make any mistake and doesn't leave voluntarily? Not only back-up staffs, even some very lazy teaching staffs could not be fired (remember, they earn a lot more).
