Mourning to Lech. Kaczynski, the President of Poland
April 11, 2010
Dear the Government of Poland,
Lech. Kaczynski, the fourth President of the Republic of Poland, was killed in an accident in his way to Russia, on April 10, 2010. The plane was crashed to the ground, with no survivors.
President Kaczynski has struggled for democracy and freedom for his whole life. Hong Kong, Southern Democratic Alliance is deeply sorry and sad for the death of President Kaczynski.
President Kaczynski is a good friend of Chinese people. In March 2008, he called on China to make dialogues with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in the respects of religion freedom and human rights.
In May 2008, after the earthquake in Sichuan, President Kaczynski sent deep condolences to the families of the victims. In the end of 2008, he met Holiness the Dalai Lama. Very few heads of European states can be as brave as him. He has insisted that he and Poland will be with the people suffering in suppression all over the world.
President Kaczynski has been a trade union member and the Polish communist government arrested him in 1981. He has been elected the President of Poland by the end of 2005. Until his last moment, he has been able to stand firm for democracy and freedom. He is an admirable figure.
Let us always remember the 61-year-old hero, and hope that he, his wife and the victims of the same plane, can enjoy the eternal rest.

Chairman, Hong Kong Southern Democratic Alliance
