影片揭開了美國一所高中裏的平凡一日。像往常一樣，這個平淡的日子裏被家庭作業、足球、流言等等所填滿。對於每位學生來說，高中生活都是一種獨特的體驗：刺激的，友好的，痛苦的，孤獨的，或艱難的。
影片拍攝時也沒有劇本，只使用一台攝影機。演員大部分是波特蘭當地的高中生。

The film shows about a normal day in the life of several teenage students in high school. We become observers of the events that happen throughout the day, as the film is filled with long tracking shots of students going out of and into classes, the cafeteria, the gym, or the library. They live their student lives and we follow their steps through the corridors and doors, taking them as guides one by one, like avatars in a giant video game. The characters in the film are mostly played by non-actors.
