Some materials on Palastine/Israel conflict

There are a lot of discussion on Inmedia lately on the Palastine/Israel conflict. Here are some very informative interviews and panel discussions on the issue. The first one is a discussion about the most recent conflict. There are some discussion on the media bias in the main stream media.

Panelists:
Ali Al-Ahmed - director of the Institute for Gulf Affairs. He is an expert on Saudi political affairs including: terrorism, Islamic movements, Wahhabi Islam, Saudi political history, Saudi-American relations, and the al-Saud family history.
Jehad Aliweiwi - a Palestinian Canadian activist born and raised in Hebron, and a former executive director of the Canadian Arab Federation. He is a graduate of York University and is the executive director of a large multi-service neighbourhood agency in Toronto.
Beshara Doumani - a professor of History at the University of California Berkeley. He is also currently a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies, Harvard University.
Hisham Melhem - the Washington-based correspondent for the Lebanese daily Annahar, the Kuwaiti daily Al-Qabas, and Radio Monte Carlo in France. He is also the host of Across the Ocean, a weekly talk show for the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya.

Then there's a 4 part series on the history and development of the entire conflict. It was made in November 2007 on the 60th anniversary of the United Nations decision to partition the land of Palestine.

There's a lot of video (sorry there's no translation or subtitle), but it's worth the time. (If you are really short on time, watch "The Roots of the Conflict" to get a good foundation and "Missed Opportunities" if you have time.) As you watch these video, you will find that, just like most thing in history, things are usually not black and white.
