早前被捕的十四位反世貿人士中，有一位是日本人，名為中桐康介，是大阪的露宿者兼露宿者運動參與者，他最近電郵給我們，希望國際社會可以聲援大阪的露宿者，他們正被大阪市政府迫遷！
大阪市政府為了要籌辦「國際玫塊會議」及「全國城市綠化節」，打算在各公園中進行修剪樹木、修路及蓋停車場，所以，自去年十月，便突然要求大阪－靭公園及城堡公園中的露宿者離去，而且，只給序兩個月期限。
大阪共有超過一千名露宿者，他們住在街上、公園及河邊，主要原因是失業，但政府對失業問題並無根本解決方法，反而大減社會福利開支，每年，大概有二百名露宿者在街上死亡（不少是凍死的）。
許多失業及窮人在公園已住了多年，他們沒有地方可去，但是，市政人員大力向露宿者施壓及騷擾，而且，市政府打算執行強制令，儘管露宿者的組織及支持者多次跟市政府談判，並表示要捍衛露宿者的生存權，但市政府置若罔聞。
一月十二日，露宿者循司法途徑，阻止市政府，但法庭已拒絕了要求。
大阪市政府嘗試說服露宿者入住「庇護中心」，但是這完全不是辦法，因為他們只能帶備少量私人用品，因為房間太小，而他們大部份家檔，包括他們的營具，將會被破壞及丟棄，視作非法僭建，除此以外，「庇護中心」只能住三至六個月，他們最終又會被迫再次流落街頭，甚至可能在寒冷的街頭凍死。
日本政府已多次利用國際盛事的機會，例如世界杯或世博會，驅趕露宿者，但從來沒有為他們提供任何實質援助，我們需要阻止這種事情再發生！
