Talk: The State of Curating in Hong Kong

Wednesday 20 July, 7pm at the Goethe-Institut Hongkong (map)
The State of Curating
in Hong Kong

In an
open discussion we would like to find reasons why Hong Kong seems to lack
well-curated contemporary art exhibitions. Are there enough good curators in
Hong Kong or are there just no spaces where they can produce interesting
exhibitions? Are there to many (bureaucratic) restrictions or do we expect too
much? Why do some of the interesting curators find better prospects in Mainland
China?
