2006's Information Day
Yesterday was the annual Information Day.
Helpers' efforts, and students' excitement
Could not change the sky's grey.
Perspective teachers, lawyers, doctors,
Engineers, and entrepreneurs,
Walking through the University gates,
With dreams, ambitions, and perhaps some As.
Oh... please... please
Forget about your previous days.
Be aware we are now inside the gates.
So, on our own future,
We do have the final say.
Before exiting the gates,
Just relax, and be brave,
Then we will all grow in different ways.
Beside the lecture halls,
The libraries, the canteens, and the American cafe,
Remember to spare some time for the lovely Sandy Bay.
