在爭取民主的路上，每每會受到質疑: 「你可以改變甚麼?」 「也許永遠都爭取不到」......
也有遇上過軟弱的時候，懷疑到底是不是真的會看到民主的花開放呢?
而我們的生命是如此短促，相對於宇宙，我們又何其渺小。面對著茫茫人生，上下而求索，又是為了甚麼呢?
聽一聽 Chris de Burgh 的歌 Read My Name 也許會有新的體會。歌詞說「每一個曾到過這世界的小孩，都有發放光芒的機會」「我曾來過，用盡我的才能參與過，令世界變得更美好，請記住我的名字!」
也許在歷史的洪流中，我們是只是一粒細沙，但這一徜旅行，我們將留下不可磨滅的痕跡。正如在五月十六日的五區公投中，我們的每一票，只是百萬之一，但其力量，是不容否定，不容抹殺的。五區公投，是一場愛國運動，一場民主運動。是在歷史上千千萬萬的群眾運動的其中一場，也許她不能帶來天翻地覆的改變，但卻確確實實發生過，啟發無數的後來者。
我們都為建設一個公平，正義的公民社會出過一分力。這就足以證明我們是轟轟烈烈的活過，精彩地活過，不枉此生。有一天，我們可以驕傲地向世界說: 「I have been here, READ MY NAME!」
