推介：weblog 是最差的記錄方法

黃瀚霆的批評文字一向到了癢處。兩三個月前他在自家的留言板曾批評blog的壞端，可惜留言板因設計問題，那評論已被刪去。
他在新上載的一篇筆記（19.11.2004——不要被這年月日騙到，他那邊的年月日已跟日曆不同步久矣）裡，把留言的內容進一步深化——
blog平台被大財團收購／買賣合約體制下，用者的力量微不足道／開放blog的原程式碼不等於不花錢／blog也可被搜尋以至過濾／終歸我們仍要自主、獨立的網頁開發語言，是故，黃瀚霆仍用html
對於我這個懶人，我會說：我捨html而用blog，最後還得付出代價；但對那些連html也敬而遠之，或做html多年而覺得異化的朋友，又應如何幫助他們？

對blog的誤解
1. Blogging is not limited to blogger/livejournal/xanga etc. A blog can be hosted on any website that supports some type of scripting.
2. You can choose a blog tool that is under the GPL license so the code will always remain free. One example is WordPress.
3. In terms of privacy concerns, there is no difference between HTML and blog, if you host your HTML files on a free service provider (e.g. geocities), you'll get the same restrictions. If you have privacy/security concerns, you should always host your files on your own server.
4. The layout and style of most blogs can be customized, just that some people don't want to waste time doing that, it is not a technical problem with blogging.
Sorry, but none of the points in her article seems valid to me.
