二年前時想,到底我學懂占卜有沒有用?深思熟慮一輪後,我發覺除非我可以習得他心通,否則占卜就算是次次靈驗都無實際用途,就算占卜靈驗亦沒有違反量子力學中資訊可以在時間軸上逆行的理論。何解?
用最簡單的語言來說,如果想要卜的未來是以簡單的二分法來分辨的話,準確預測未來沒有邏緝上的問題;但是,一般人要知的通常不是很簡單的是或否,而是這件事將來會變成怎樣的問題?但到底占卜出來的兩、三個形容詞/牌可以把這件事述描得幾詳細、幾完整呢?事雖然是同一件,但一個人看這件事的角度可以很多,換句話說,可以用很多不同組的形容詞來形容它,例如一段友情在同一段時間對於同一個人來說,可以用「快樂、智慧、靈感」來形容,亦可以用「無聊、進步、愚蠢」來,兩組名詞對將來結果的描述可以是同樣程度的準確和完整。當一個人從占卜得知他的友情是「快樂、智慧、靈感」,對於他計劃將來有什麼幫助?而又和他知道友情是「無聊、進步、愚蠢」時,對於他計劃將來有什麼分別?這個分別到底在哪裏?這個分別和沒有分別有什麼分別?是因為占卜方法的問題?是不是所有占卜方法都有同一個問題?是未來的不可測性的問題?還是事情的可多重解讀性的問題?

(A long dated idea)
Many has use tarot or cards to make prediction about the future. After some personal experience and investigation, I arrived at the conclusion that it is useless otherwise you have the gift of premonition.
Here is my logic:
Assume here for a moment that divination does work since quantum mechanic theory does permit information to travel backward in time, and somehow this method has tap into this mystical realm of unconsciousness. So the divination result does represent useful information about future. Is that information is by itself useful?
How many dimension does any future event has in Future-Event-Space? How many dimensions would be adequate to describe every possible future-event? That is itself a difficult question: Although the world could be described by finite parameter, the human understanding of an event(Psychological Space) could take any number of dimensions. It is thus possible that this space has a non-finite number of dimension.
Assume for a second that is just n dimension, how is it possible to describe future event COMPLETELY with the amount of description affordable by the number of adjective(number of cards) available in a particular divination method? Since any event could be described in more than one way. How do we know the number of way a particular method of divination to de-construct Future-Event-Space is sufficient to differentiate between all incident of ‘Future-Event-Space’ projecting into ‘Psychological Space’? What numbers would this be for the divination result to be useful? Is this number fixed or variable?
i.e. Given the prediction is completely accurate, how much more useful information do we have now? For instance, a trip to California could be ‘Happy,Romantic, Thrilling’ in one sense but ‘Therapeutic, Challenging and Interesting’ in another sense. How can we differentiate between the results until after the fact? What is the difference in the preparation of a trip described by two groups of adjectives? How is it useful that we just have a few adjectives that is always applicable to almost any situation? What is the internal validity of each divination method? Information is the difference that make a different, so is divination give us any information at all?
