The Recently Published Report on China’s Legal Development

A Report on China’s Legal Development was published two months ago. It is a 600-page report (in Chinese) containing the results of empirical studies on various institutional aspects of the Chinese legal system as it has developed in the last 30 years. The research for the report was commissioned by an NGO in China, and the team doing the research was led by Professor Zhu Jingwen, the speaker at this seminar. The Report provides an overall view of major developments in Chinese legal institutions in the last 30 years and evaluates their present level of development. In this seminar, Professor Zhu will speak on the main findings in the Report.
