英國這類相信達爾文演化論的國家的社會表現相較;

Journal of Religion and
Society』學術期刊發行。許多美國人相信,會上教堂的國民是最優秀的,會受上帝的祝福;

ISSP (the
International Social Survey Programme)

(Scandi

他說依這些不同研究累積來的證據,顯示基督宗教勢力實際促成社會病態;

因果之關係鍵可能是:基要主義--->與新自由主義中的「市場原教旨主義」結合(簡要來說:基要主義---認為世風日下--->認為離婚、性開放etc.造成社會問題--->造成福利依賴--->福利是「有害的同情心」--->少福利、大市場,以競爭促進工作倫理--->這也是市場原教旨主義的結論)--->新自由主義政策(減福利,利巨商)--->美國的社會

What kind of '基督宗教信仰' is it referring to?

Agree with Mr. Tsui, the meaning of that particular 'Christian religion' doesn't look like a real Christian religion for me.

By the way, I am struggling these days, might consider quitting my religion...... (Not related to such ridiculous sayings and 'research' results, of course. Just, why I don't find it right?) Is Christianity not what I have ever imagined in fact? Or what I have expected may be wrong? ......

Conservatives version of Christians really do more harm than goo

Conservative Christians anti-women, anti-gay, anti-human rights trend is not limited to the US.

The Conservatives Christians are against anyone who is not a Conservative Christians. They like to control other people lives without bearing any consequence for their actions.

That is why there are anti-abortion Conservative Christians who rally for boycott a toy manufacturer for supporting a NGO who provide programs for underprivileged children.

In Hong Kong, Conservatives Christians try to harm children by teaching disrespect for human rights to teachers. Conservatives Christians use their resources to spread lies and create hatred for minority they choose to pick on.

I do think that if we do similiar survey in Hong Kong, the result would still comes up with Conservative Christians are harming this society as they are doing it in any other country.

回Frosting及XOX

回Frosting:

Probably. But that is the choice of Hong Kong anti-human-rights-Conservative Christians.

American missonaries have lot of influence in the Asia areas, but not all of the Asia countries have as disgusting a polution of anti-human-rights-Conservative-Christians.

And in the US, there is a balance of moderate Christians who oppose the disgusting Conservative Christians. Do we have that in Hong Kong? I could name Hong Kong Christian Institute and its friendly alliance. But that is the minority. Most of the Christians in Hong Kong are anti-human-rights-Christians. And we have already seen the negative impact on society.

Rather blame it on the US 'root' of evil (anti-humam-rights-Conservative-Christians-ignorance) why don't you take a look on why the so-called-main-stream-Christian-Churches choose to take on such a disgusting stand on human rights.

Thanks, Mr. Tsui!

I am very glad that you have responded to me, to my own personal problem, afterall. Thank you so much!
For me, this is a very tough period in life. I am not sure what I am doing, not sure where I am heading to, not sure why I have to work just for money. There is simply no satisfaction from my job. I don't have time to work on my study.

The worst thing is that the relationship between God and me has totally disappeared. I never felt like this. I have never been very religious, but I DID always feel that God was taking care of me. Now, I am just back to HK, and I feel that I don't belong here. And I really want to look for a suitable church, while I don't have time and information. The feeling is simply not right. I guess it may be my fault, but now as I have been thinking a lot more, I see too many social problems, and I suddenly realise why the 'death rate' of Christians from 'Social Science' field is the highest...... I don't know, I just can't see religion solving many problems. Maybe I still want to look for truth, but I am too confused lately. What should I do?

Pat Robertson Warns Pa. Town of Disaster
AP, 11 Nov 2005

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson warned residents of a rural Pennsylvania town Thursday that disaster may strike there because they "voted God out of your city" by ousting school board members who favored teaching intelligent design.

All eight Dover, Pa., school board members up for re-election were defeated Tuesday after trying to introduce "intelligent design" — the belief that the universe is so complex that it must have been created by a higher power — as an alternative to the theory of evolution.

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."

Eight families had sued the district, claiming the policy violates the constitutional separation of church and state. The federal trial concluded days before Tuesday's election, but no ruling has been issued.

Later Thursday, Robertson issued a statement saying he was simply trying to point out that "our spiritual actions have consequences."

"God is tolerant and loving, but we can't keep sticking our finger in his eye forever," Robertson said. "If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin. Maybe he can help them."

Robertson made headlines this summer when he called on his daily show for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

In October 2003, he suggested that the State Department be blown up with a nuclear device. He has also said that feminism encourages women to "kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
